TOP 10 - NON-SUPER HERO COMICS

MARVEL and DC make up just about the whole pie as far as the comic industry in percentages.  Let's take a look at some of the smaller companies like IMAGE, IDW, DYNAMITE and BOOM, but in particular, comics dealing with other genres besides super heroics and spandex.  For this list we will as well take into consideration the titles MARVEL and DC publish for mature readership under the ICON and VERTIGO lines respectively.  There are some pretty amazing things going on in the independent world of comics by unnoticed scribes as well as the big writers staying in touch with their roots.  All comics listed are currently in publication as monthly or ltd series.  Some of the series have been going for many years and have volumes of graphic novels if you were looking for something outside the mainstream titles from the big 2.
